GNAC Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors: February 28, 2011

Tyson Rietz (Emmanuel) and Nadav Swarttz (Emerson) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Tyson Rietz, Emmanuel, Sr., Granite Bay, CA

Emmanuel’s Tyson Rietz led the Saints to three-straight 3-0 sweeps over GNAC opponents this week, averaging 2.4 kills and 2.5 digs per set, while hitting .378 for the week. The senior outside hitter tallied 14 kills on 20 attempts in Emmanuel's Friday night conference win at Lasell.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Nadav Swarttz, Emerson, So., Newton, MA

Emerson’s Nadav Swarttz led the Lions to a 2-1 week including a come from 0-2 behind 3-2 win at Elms College. He led the Lions with a .303 hitting percentage on the week, 27 kills, and eight blocks.
