Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year: Ray Askew, Albertus Magnus College, Sr., Hamden, CTRay Askew has been a dominating power in the GNAC this season, a common theme for the senior over his career at Albertus. This season, Askew became the all-time leading rebounder in both GNAC and Albertus Magnus basketball history – he finished the regular season with 1,144 rebounds. On January 10, Askew became only the second-player ever to record over 1,000 rebounds in the conference, while he also surpassed the previous record to become the league leader. Askew is just 24 points shy of tying the Albertus Magnus men’s basketball program record in points as he has 2,210 in his career after becoming only the second player in program history to score over 2,000 points. Askew was named GNAC Player of the Week and ECAC Division III New England Player of the Week twice this season, while earning a spot on the D3hoops.com national Team of the Week twice as well. With 621 points this season and a 24.8 average per game, Askew led his team to a 20th-place national ranking, a 10th – place regional ranking and a undefeated season in GNAC play. He finished the regular season shooting 56.0-percent from the floor and 198-of-300 from the free-throw line. He also pulled down 243 total rebounds to lead Albertus. On the year, he has recorded 11 double-doubles and 18 games with 20 or more points. |

Darius Watson, Albertus Magnus College, So., New Britain, CTDarius Watson averaged 19.5 points per game for the Falcons during the regular season. The sophomore shot 51.8-percent from the floor, including a 39.8-percent showing from behind the arc as the team’s biggest threat from behind the arc. Watson hit 49 three-pointers in the Falcons 25-game regular season and recorded 18 blocked shots. On the year, he scored a team second-best 429 points, in 31.8 minutes per game. He also contributed with 13 games with 20 or more points, including his career-high tally of 35 points vs. Rivier on December 10. On Dec. 12, Watson was named the GNAC Player of the Week, while he earned a spot on the honor roll on Jan. 9. |

Anthony Click, Anna Maria College, Jr., Springfield, MAJunior forward, Anthony Click, has started all 25 games for the AMCATS and leads them in all major statistical categories. Also Click is ranked in the top 10 in GNAC statistics in scoring, steals, rebounds, free throw percentage and Blocks. He is averaged 18.4 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game during the AMCATS regular season. Click reached several milestones this season including scoring his 1,000 point for AMC and hitting his career high of 33 points vs. Fitchburg State. Also he collected GNAC Player of the Week honors on Jan. 9th, 2012. |

Lamonte Thomas, Johnson & Wales, Sr., Providence, RIA 2012 National Basketball Writers Association of America All-American and reigning GNAC Player of the year, he led the team, the conference and all of the NCAA Division III ranks in scoring with 34.1 points per game. Also added 5.8 rebounds per game while his 4.9 assists per game ranked him second in the GNAC. Had 13 games with at least 30 points while he had six games of at least 40 points, including a season-high 49 points in the setback on the road against Albertus Magnus. Connected on 84.7% of his free throws which ranked him third in the conference while his 2.7 three pointers made per game was also good for third in the league. |

Zach O'Brien, Saint Joseph's College of Maine, Sr., Schenectady, NYThe senior guard led the Monks in regular season scoring (17.5 PPG), rebounding (4.5 RPG) and free throws made; and ranks second on the team in assists (2.7 APG), FG%, and steals. A 2011 First Team selection, O’Brien led the Monks in scoring in 13 different games and recorded 20 or more points in 12 contests this season. O'Brien was honored as the ninth player in program history to amass 1,500 career point and 14th player in GNAC history to reach the milestone, where he ranks 12th in conference history to net 1,000 or more points in league contests. |

Coach of the Year: Mitch Oliver, Albertus Magnus CollegeCoach Mitch Oliver led the Falcons to yet another record-breaking season, capturing the GNAC regular season record of 18-0 and 27-1 overall. Their 27 wins also mark a conference record of wins in a single season. Oliver has led Albertus Magnus, to two GNAC Championship titles in the past three seasons. |
