Six GNAC Women’s Swimming Teams Competed in the New England Championships

Six GNAC women’s swimming teams competed in the New England Championships held at Umass Dartmouth’s Tripp Athletic Center Natatorium Feb. 20-22.

Simmons College earned 251 points to finish 11th overall. The Saint Joseph College (130) swim team set seven school-records, including four relay records, and took a program-best 15th place finish. Second-year program St. Joe’s (Maine) posted five program record times, including three relay records, and also took a program-best 17th place. The Norwich University Cadets amassed 62 points to finish 18th. Elms College finished with a three-day total of 37 points to finish 20th, while Husson College earned 20 points for a 21st place finish.

Keene State (899) held off Bentley (830) en route to team championship honors. St. Michael's (514), Roger Williams (512) and Western Connecticut State (486) rounded out the top five teams.
