Player of the Week
Keri Acheson (Peabody, Mass.), Sophomore, Forward, Simmons College
Acheson scored one goal and assisted on another to lift the Sharks to a 2-0 victory over Albertus Magnus in a GNAC Quarterfinal on Sunday afternoon. With the win, Simmons advances to the GNAC Semifinals and will square off against the University of Saint Joseph (CT).
Rookie of the Week
Tayllar Righini (Salem, N.H.), Freshman, Midfielder, Emerson College
Righini kept the Lions alive in GNAC Quarterfinals, scoring her fourth goal of the season off a header in the second minute of action against Emmanuel College. Thanks to the score, Emerson held a 1-0 lead for much of the contest before the Saints were able to tally two late goals.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Jessica D'Ottavio (Pawling, N.Y.), Senior, Goalkeeper, Emmanuel College
D'Ottavio was brilliant in the Saints 2-1 victory over Emerson College, making seven saves to help Emmanuel advance to the GNAC Semifinals for the first time since 2009. The win was also the 40th career victory for D'Ottavio, an Emmanuel program-record.
