Newton, Mass. - The Mount Ida College
Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Nicole
Poli as head women's lacrosse coach.
"I'm excited and honored to begin my journey as a head coach
at Mount Ida College," said Poli. "With the motivation and drive of
this program, I am confident that I can continue the growth and
progress of the Mount Ida women's lacrosse program."
Poli comes off a one year stint as the assistant women's
lacrosse coach at Western New England University (WNEU) this past
2012 season. Poli, who is a 2011 graduate of Western New England
University and a four year player for both the women's lacrosse and
soccer programs, earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, while
minoring in Coaching.
Prior to this year Poli was a Wilbraham/East Long Meadow
Youth Program volunteer teaching young lacrosse players proper
positioning on the field. On top of volunteering, Poli is also a
coach for Mass Elite Lacrosse while instructing at clinics,
practices and coaching tournaments. Poli also coaches for Croart
Lacrosse, which involves 1 on 1 training teaching fundamentals and
communicating the importance of teamwork as well as preparing
student-athletes for college level of play.
