Newton, Mass. – The Lasell College women’s lacrosse team defeated Emerson College 11-7 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference semifinals, setting up a rematch of last year’s championship game versus Norwich University. The victory was the fifteenth of the season for Lasell, who are 15-2 on the year, while Emerson slipped to 8-7 on the season.

The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announces the Women’s Lacrosse playoff seedings and bracket. Norwich University takes the top seed in the GNAC. Lasell College comes in at the second seed, followed by Emerson College in the third seed, and Simmons College rounds out the top four with the fourth seed. Securing the fifth seed slot is Saint Joseph’s College (ME). The sixth seed goes to Mount Ida College. Seventh and eighth place seeds are secured by Rivier College and Emmanuel College respectively.

Boston, MA – The Lasell College women’s lacrosse team scored the first 13 goals of the day, and coasted to a 20-5 victory over the Lions of Emerson College. The Lasers improved to 5-0 in the GNAC and 9-1 on the season, while the Lions fell to 3-2 in GNAC play and 3-3 overall.

Newton, MA – The Lasell College women’s lacrosse team defeated Wellesley College in a triple overtime thriller, 16-15 in the Lasers home opener. Ashley Slattery (Weymouth, MA) found the back of the net on a free position shot with 1:25 on the clock to give Lasell their first win of the season. The victory improved Lasell’s record to 1-1 on the year, while Wellesley fell to 0-3 with the loss.
