GNAC’s “Passionate Purple” Week Raises Over $1,600 for the Lupus Foundation of America

The GNAC effort raised over $1,600 from the 13 GNAC institutions. The GNAC hosted 13 “Passionate Purple” games during the week of January 17th – 24th, 2009.

All of the proceeds collected will be donated to the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA). GNAC institutions raised money and awareness in a variety of ways, including inviting individuals with lupus to speak at games, wearing purple socks, asking fans to wear purple, collecting gate proceeds, and selling t-shirts.

The GNAC is very excited about the partnership with the LFA and wants to thank all of the participating schools and their students, faculty, staff, and alumni for joining the fight against lupus and raising funds for those who are affected by lupus.
