The Simmons College women's basketball team conducted an instructional clinic for the Allston Brighton girls BNBL

The Simmons College women’s basketball team conducted an instructional clinic for the Allston Brighton girls BNBL (Boston Neighborhood Basketball League). Some thirty girls all age 8-12 participated in the clinic held at Smith Park in Allston at the end of July. Kristin Morlok coach of the West End House team said, “It was great to see members of the university community sharing their time and skills as they are such positive role models– the girls really enjoyed working with real college players and learned a great deal.” In summing up this initiative Woodley Auguste Citywide Director of the BNBL program said “This is a tremendous and much appreciated undertaking”. Great Northeast Athletic Conference Commissioner and director of the local BNBL Joe Walsh added “we are extremely grateful to both senior student athlete Nikki Cohen for organizing this clinic and the entire Simmons team for their commitment to the girls of the community”.
