Honors Pile Up For Emmanuel's Coach Wright
After being selected the 2010 Men's Volleyball Coach of the Year for both the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA), Emmanuel Head Coach Chris Wright received NECVA's 2010 David Hildebrandt Rising Star Award.

Rivier Holds On to #1 Seed in NECVA Tournament
Hyannis, MA: The North East Collegiate Volleyball Association Championship Tournament commenced today at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center in Hyannis, Massachusetts, proudly presented by NECVA and the ECAC. The #1 seeded Raiders of Rivier College earned a three game sweep while Nazareth pulled out a five game win over the Bearcats of Baruch for the first upset of the night.

2010 NECVA-ECAC Men's Volleyball Tournament Bracket
Top seeded Rivier College (28-8) will take on #16 New Jersey City University (17-9) at 2pm on Friday April 9th in the first round of the NECVA tournament. The tournament will be played April 9th-11th at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center in Barnstable, Mass.

Rivier Captures Third Straight GNAC Championship
March 27, 2010-Nashua NH Rivier College defeated Emmanuel College 3-0 to win the 2010 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Mens Volleyball Championship. The Raiders, winners of the last three GNAC Championships, won the three set battle by the score of 30-25, 30-28, 30-26 to clinch a spot in the North Eastern Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) Championship in Cape Cod, MA on April 9-11. The Saints, who made their third trip to the GNAC Championship match, will also receive an automatic bid to the NECVA Championship.

2010 GNAC Mens Volleyball Championship Preview
The four teams with the best regular season conference records will face off tomorrow for the 2010 Great Northeast Mens Volleyball Championship. The #1 seed Rivier Raiders (25-8, 11-1 GNAC) will play the #4 seed Emerson Lions (9-11, 5-7 GNAC) at 11:00 a.m., while the #2 seed Emmanuel Saints (25-7, 11-1 GNAC) will battle the #3 seed Lasell Lasers (17-9, 8-4 GNAC) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27 at Rivier. The winners of each contest will face off at 4:00 p.m. to determine the 2010 GNAC Champion.

The 2009-2010 GNAC Men's Volleyball Tournament pairings are now available. The reigning 2009 GNAC tournament and regular-season champions Rivier College Raiders are seeded first and will face the Emmanuel College Saints Saturday, March 27th at 11:00am in Nashua, NH.
