Greenway, Watson & Click Represent GNAC on ECAC Men’s Basketball All-Star Team

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2012-13 Men's Basketball All-Star Teams on Friday afternoon.  Johnson & Wales University freshman Quarry Greenway (Westchester, N.Y.) was named the Division III New England Region ECAC Rookie of the Year while Albertus Magnus College junior Darius Watson (New Britain, Conn.) and Anna Maria College senior Anthony Click (Springfield, Mass.) were among the ten honorees from the New England region.  Both received a nod on the All-ECAC Second team, as voted upon by the New England Men's Basketball Coaches.

Greenway was among the GNAC leaders in nearly every category, ranking seventh in scoring at 15.4 points per game while his 1.9 steals per game was third best in the league.  He added 7.5 rebounds per game, good for 12th in the GNAC.  The solid all-around performer also ranked eighth in blocks per game at 1.3.

Watson, who has led the Falcons this season with 23.3 points per game, was named to the GNAC All-Conference First Team for the second-straight season. The junior netted 34 points in the Falcons' 87-80 win over Anna Maria in the GNAC Championship game as he was named the Tournament's MVP for his efforts. On the week, he averaged 27 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Watson was named GNAC Player of the Week three times this season as well as ECAC Player of the Week on Nov. 28. He also earned D3hoops.com Team of the Week honors once and was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll three times throughout the season.


Click, the backbone of the AMCATS team, notched six double-doubles this season and averaged 19.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, for the AMCATS. The senior is ranked 1st in the conference in steals (71) and second in the GNAC in points per game (19.4), points (562) and third in minutes per game (34.6). He scored a career-high 39 points this season vs. Suffolk. Click earned GNAC Player of the Week honors twice this season, ECAC Player of the Week once and was named to the 2013 GNAC All-Tournament Team. Click currently sits in third place with 1,772 points, on the AMCATS all-time scoring list and is 7th all-time in scoring in the GNAC.
