St. Joseph's College (ME) & Gordon College Unite for Fall Ball Food Drive

STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph’s and Gordon College joined together for an excellent cause in conjunction with their day of fall ball games on September 20th. Players and parents from both squads, asked to bring non-perishable food items, produced an impressive amount of groceries to be donated to Catherine’s Cupboard Food Pantry.

After the Monks and Scots locked heads in a “triple-header” on a gorgeous fall day at Larry Mahaney Diamond, the teams joined in a postgame cookout, a formidable spread put on by the ever-gracious SJC parents.

Sponsored by Saint Joseph’s College, in partnership with the Town of Standish and Bon Appetit, Catherine’s Cupboard Food Pantry distributes food to those in need every Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Steep Falls Fire Barn, which is located at the corner of Boundary Road and Middle Road just off Route 113.
