Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Report - Week 6

Player of the Week
Zach Johnson (Westbrook, Maine), Junior, Forward, Saint Joseph’s College (ME)
Johnson tallied three goals, all game-winners, and an assist for seven total points in a 4-0 week for Saint Joseph's College. The junior forward netted the clinching goal in a victory over Anna Maria on Monday and produced the winning goal in an OT triumph against Rivier University on Saturday. His winning goal against Maine-Presque Isle was the 13th of his career, tying him for the program's all-time lead in the clutch category. 

Rookie of the Week
Ole Erikson (Asker, Norway), Junior, Midfielder, Emerson College
Erikson came through in the clutch for the Lions this week as he set up the game winning goal against Norwich with an assist while scoring the game-winning goal against UMass Boston in double overtime on Wednesday night. In addition to his three-point week (1 goal, 1 assist), Erikson put 100% of his shots on goal.

Goalkeeper of the Week
Austin Scoggin (Mattituck, N.Y.), Freshman, Goalkeeper, Johnson & Wales University
Scoggin posted a pair of shutout victories for the Wildcats including a key 1-0 victory over Mount Ida College in which the rookie keeper made five stops. He was brilliant on the week making a total of 21 saves while posting an impressive .913 save percentage including a 12-save outing vs. Lasell College.
