Great Northeast Athletic Conference Golf Report - Week 4

Player of the Week
Tim Leigh (Somerset, Mass.), Junior, Rhode Island College
Leigh shot a one-over-par 73 to earn a triple share of individual medalist honors and guide Rhode Island College to a second place finish (15 teams) at the Blazers Fall Invitational on Wednesday afternoon at Westover Golf Course. The Anchormen fired a team score of 311, two of the pace set by host Elms College, who took first place and finished with a score of 309. Leigh finished in a three-way tie for first place with Elms College senior Phil Rurak (Wilbraham, MA) and junior Henry Fall (Harpswell, ME).

Rookie of the Week
Brett Burman (Bridgewater, Conn.), Sophomore, Emmanuel College
The rookie sophomore fired off a round of 78 to lead the Saints to the program's best finish (3rd/15) at the Elms College Blazers Invitational on Wednesday afternoon. Burman carded a 35 on the front and a 43 on the back to finish 6th overall in the 35-player tournament.
