Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Report – Week 3

Offensive Player of the Week
Nicole Peacock (Warwick, R.I.), Junior, Middle Hitter, Rivier College
Peacock led Rivier to a 3-0 week and for the first time in program history the Raiders knocked off Plymouth State and Keene State in the same year while also picking up a conference win against St Joseph's College. The middle hitter registered double digits in kills in all three matches while recording an impressive .377 hitting percentage. Over the week she averaged 3.0 kills/set and also led the Raiders defensively with five solo blocks and seven block assists to average 1.0 blocks/set on the week. 

Defensive Player of the Week
Giselle Cram-Ortiz (Vega Alta, Puerto Rico), Junior, Libero, Johnson & Wales University
Cram-Ortiz played in four sets apiece against two opponents and picked up 21 digs and 26 digs in each match. The big 26 dig match came against conference foe Norwich on the road on Saturday afternoon where she also tallied two service aces. 

Rookie of the Week
Felicia Wachowiak (Milton, N.H.), Freshman, Middle Blocker, Saint Joseph’s College (ME)
Wachowiak continued to impress during her rookie season in a pair matches last week, when she tallied 16 kills and a gaudy .667 attack percentage after committing no miscues in 24 attempts. Wachowiak notched six kills on seven bids in a 3-0 sweep over Lesley University on Thursday and produced a team-high 10 kills in 17 attempts versus Rivier University on Saturday.
