GNAC Women's Soccer 2011 Playoff Schedule Announced

The reigning 2010 GNAC Champion, Lasell College has secured a first place seeding in the 2011 GNAC tournament after achieving a conference record of 11-2 and an overall record of 12-4-1. The Lasers had two critical victories in the season against #3 Albertus and #4 Norwich to earn a first place playoff seeding.

Johnson & Wales has earned a second place regular season finish with a conference record of 9-2-2, and an overall record of 11-5-2. The Wildcats notched a 2-1 win against the top seeded Lasers in the last weekend of regular season games, to acquire a 2nd place playoff seed.

Albertus Magnus earned their third place seeding with a conference record of 9-4 and an overall record of 12-5. The Falcons had a huge 4-1 victory against the #5 seeded Blue Jays mid-season, which lifted Albertus to a third seed spot in the tournament.

Norwich achieved a fourth place regular season finish with a conference record of 8-3-2 and an overall record of 11-3-2. A highlight of there season came when they defeated conference foe and #3 seed, Albertus Magnus, in a 5-1 win. 

Rounding out the bottom four teams are #5 St. Joseph Conn. (8-4-1, 11-5-1), #6 Simmons (7-4-2, 8-7-2), #7 Suffolk (7-5-1, 9-6-1), and #8 St. Joseph's Maine (6-3-4, 7-4-4).
