Albertus' Ray Askew Named to D3Hoops.com's Team of the Week
Albertus Magnus men's basketball standout Ray Askew (Hamden, Conn.) has been named to the D3Hoops.com's National Team of the Week presented by Scoutware. The weekly honor was announced on Wednesday.
Askew scored 40 points against Coast Guard in the Falcons' season opener on Nov. 15. The senior connected for the Falcons' first 10 points as they began the contest with a 10-3 run. He also grabbed 16 rebounds on the night and shot 12-of-18 from the floor, 2-for-3 from beyond the arc and 14-for-19 from the line.
On Tuesday, Askew earned a spot on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honor roll for his efforts during last week's play as well.
The Falcons will host York (N.Y.) on Sunday, Nov. 27 in a 1:00 p.m. non-conference match-up before heading to Mitchell College to take on the Mariners at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
This is the 15th season that D3Hoops.com is recognizing the top performances at each of the five positions every week of the regular season.
