BOSTON, Mass. – On January, 7, 2012, Emmanuel College senior Isaiah Duke (Albany, N.Y.) became just the sixth player in the program’s 11-year history to reach the 1,000 point milestone, scoring nine points against Saint Joseph’s College (ME) to achieve the feat. The guard became the first player to net 1,000 points for the program since Mack Spellman (2009) joined the 1,000 point club on Jan. 21, 2008.

Needing just one point to reach the marker, Duke was fouled going to the hoop with 3:08 remaining in the contest and calmly stepped up to the line and drained the first of two free throws to earn the perennial recognition.

Midway through the 2011-12 campaign, Duke has been the Saints leading scorer averaging 13.8 points per contest while ranking second on the squad in rebounds, averaging 7.6 boards per game.

The senior currently ranks sixth all-time at EC in scoring with 1,021 points and is on pace to move up to third all-time by the end of his career, potentially passing two former 1,000 points scorers who are now his assistant coaches in Albert Hayle (2005, 1,110 points) and Levi Smith (2008, 1,194 points).
