GNAC Cross-Country Weekly Honors: Sept. 20th

Bridget Evangelista (Suffolk), Erik Paine (Suffolk), Althea Sacco (Rivier) and James Vance (Johnson & Wales) have all earned GNAC Cross-Country Weekly Honors.

MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

James Vance, Johnson & Wales, Sr., Newton, MA

The Wildcats’ James Vance ran the 8K course in a time if 25:18, finishing in 19th place to help lead JWU to an 11th place finish at the UMass Dartmouth Shiners Invitational on Saturday.

MEN’S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Erik Paine, Suffolk, Fr., Dartmouth, MA

Suffolk’s rookie runner, Erik Paine, placed second individually at the Eagles Invitational with a time of 35:44 and led the Rams to a second place finish overall.

WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Althea Sacco, Rivier, Fr., Colrain, ME

Rivier’s Althea Sacco finished 1^st for the Raiders in both meets thus far in her rookie season. With a time of 23:43 in the 5K, she paced the Raiders to a fourth place finish in the

WOMEN’S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Bridget Evangelista, Suffolk, Fr., Newburyport, MA

Suffolk’s Bridget Evangelista was the Rams best runner on the women's side placing eighth at the Eagles Invitational finishing the 3.1 mile race in a time of 24:28 as the Rams placed third in the meet.
