Katy Hallinan (Simmons College) and Lacey Russell (Emerson College) have both received the GNAC Women’s Tennis Weekly Honors.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Katy Hallinan, Simmons College, SR, Maynard, MA

Katy Hallinan dominated in the GNAC playoffs as she led her team to four straight playoff victories this week.  The senior also had two singles wins and only losing once. On top of her playoff success, Hillman also recorded a doubles victory against JWU and Emerson.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Lacey Russell, Emerson College, FR, Roswell, GA

Lacey Russell concluded the regular season undefeated in a dual match competition in singles and doubles. Russell defeated a Suffolk opponent in straight sets in the GNAC semi-finals and won both of her matches in doubles.  The Georgia native also was leading in the championship match against an opponent from Simmons when the match was halted upon the teams’ unanimous decision.
