GNAC Women’s Tennis Weekly Honors: September 27

Margaret Teague (Simmons College) and Savannah Mosser (Emerson College) have both received the GNAC Women’s Tennis Weekly Honors.

 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Margaret Teague, Simmons College, FR, Manchester, NH

As a freshman, Margaret Teague  has made quite the impression among her competitiors. In her collegiate debut playing at #1, the Manchester native defeated Mount Ida and also was successful at #1 doubles.  Teague completed the week by securing a win at #2 singles match against Albertus Magnus.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Savannah Mosser, Emerson College, FR, Malibu, CA

Savannah Mosser has been on a winning streak this week by defeating the #1 singles player from Mount Ida in straight sets 6-0. 6-0.  On top that impressive win, Mosser also managed to defeat the #2 singles player from Johnson & Wales 6-1, 6-0.  Mosser was also performed exceptionally well in doubles against the #1 team from JWU.  It was in this doubles match that it should be noted that Mosser was playing with a different partner than her usual pairing. She helped keep Emerson at 2-0 for the week.
