Player of the Week
Laurel McWilliams, Norwich, Sr., Swanton, VT
Norwich’s Laurel McWilliams has stepped up the point production for the Cadets since her return to the team second semester. McWilliams recorded back-to-back double-double performances this past week to lead Norwich to a 2-0 record. On Tuesday (Jan.11), she made 19 points and 10 boards, combined with two assists and one steal in a win over St. Joseph (Conn.). On Saturday (Jan.15), when the Cadets defeated Simmons, McWilliams tallied 24 points and 18 rebounds.
Rookie of the Week
Elissa Chojnicki, Emerson, Fr., Dover, NH
Emerson’s Elissa Chojnicki shot 43% from the field and 77% from the free throw line for the week. The rookie led the Lions in scoring in Saturday's conference win over Mount Ida and also added four steals for the week.
