UMass Dartmouth Captures 2010 GNAC Championship
Providence, R.I. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth captured the 2010 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship, held at Triggs Memorial Golf Course this weekend. The Corsairs took first place with a team score of 652 while Johnson & Wales shot a 668 to finish in second place. Host Rhode Island College rounded out the top three, shooting a 674 over the par 72 course that measures 6,522 yards.

Dartmouth captured the 2010 Great Northeast Athletic Conference
Championship, held at Triggs Memorial Golf Course this weekend.
The Corsairs took first place with a team score of 652 while
Johnson & Wales shot a 668 to finish in second place.
Host Rhode Island College rounded out the top three, shooting
a 674 over the par 72 course that measures 6,522 yards.
Johnson & Wales sophomore Joe Connor (Lakeville, Mass.) was
named the GNAC Player of the Year after earning medalist honors,
shooting a two-round total of 156 while UMass Dartmouth’s
Matt Connolly was in second place with a 157. Other
all-conference selections include Rhode Island College’s Kyle
Harper, St. Joseph’s of Maine’s Kevin Richardson and
George Gillmore and Nick Jagoe from UMass Dartmouth.
Richardson was named the conference’s top rookie.
UMass Dartmouth receives the conference’s automatic bid to
the 2011 NCAA Division III Championship in Greensboro, North
Carolina.
