BOSTON, Mass.- On Monday afternoon, the NCAA announced the official bracket for the 2010 Division III Women's Basketball Tournament. The 22-5 Emmanuel Saints have been paired up against the 25-3 Beavers of Babson College. The two teams will square off on Friday (March 5th) at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. In the other first round game at Colby, the 23-4 host Mules of Colby College will take on the 19-8 Eagles of Husson College. The two first round winners will play on Saturday (March 6th) in the regional finals for a trip to the sectionals.

Emmanuel will be making its 15th appearance in the big dance. The Saints' opponent, Babson College, defeated WPI on Sunday to win the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship. This was Babson's second-straight NEWMAC Championship and the Beavers will be making their 5th NCAA Tournament appearance.
Colby College was defeated by Amherst College in the North East Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship, but the Mules received an at-large bid to the national tournament. The Mules will be taking on Husson College, which knocked off Castleton State to win the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship.
