Todd Keneborus (St. Joseph’s (ME)), Nate Martin (St. Joseph’s (ME)), and Sam Murray (St. Joseph’s (ME)) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Baseball Weekly Honors.

Keneborus played terrific for the Monks, who went 3-1 during a trip to New Jersey and New York last weekend. The junior outfielder broke out with a huge performance against New Jersey City University on March 20, going 3-5 with a grand slam, 2 doubles, 3 runs, and 9 RBIs. Keneborus’ performance broke the Monks single-game RBI record, which was previously held for 23 seasons. Keneborus leads the Monks in RBIs (18), total bases (25), homeruns (1), and triples (3) so far this season. St. Joseph’s (ME) defeated New Jersey City University, 20-8 and 8-5, on March 20. The Monks split two games on March 21, winning 7-0 and then losing the nightcap, 6-5, against St. Joseph’s (L.I.). The Monks are currently 6-5 and will open conference play against Rivier on March 27.

In a 3-1 week for the Monks, Martin hit .429 (6-14) with 4 runs, 4 RBIs, and 4 stolen bases while playing stellar defense in center field. Martin currently leads the Monks in stolen bases (5), steal attempts (5), and stolen base percentage (1.000). St. Joseph’s (ME) defeated New Jersey City University, 20-8 and 8-5, on March 20 and split two games against St. Joseph’s (L.I.) (7-0, 6-5) on March 21. The Monks are currently 6-5 and will begin conference play on March 27 when they take on Rivier.

Murray was dominant against St. Joseph’s (L.I.), pitching a
complete-game shutout to give the Monks a 7-0 victory on March
21. The sophomore
southpaw scattered 6 hits with no walks and 4 strikeouts in route
to getting 1st win of the season. Murray currently leads the Monks
pitching staff in ERA (1.93), innings pitched (14.0), batters
struck out while looking (4), runs allowed (3), and home runs
allowed (0). St.
Joseph’s (ME) is currently 6-5 and will take on their first
GNAC opponent on March 27 when they face the Rivier Raiders.
