Emmanuel's Bruno Earns All-American Track & Field Honors
LA CROSSE, Wisc. – Nathan Bruno (Lenox, Mass.) made history on Saturday night in Wisconsin, when he became Emmanuel College's first-ever student-athlete to earn All-American honors in Track & Field. Bruno raced to a 6th place finish in the men's 400 meter hurdle finals at the NCAA Division III Track & Field National Championships, held at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.

Newton, Mass. – The Lasell College women's lacrosse team capped a perfect Great Northeast Athletic Conference regular season with a 15-14 victory over Simmons College in the conference championship game.Britney Wuorio (Bolton, Mass.) scored with 20 seconds remaining in the second half to break a 14-14 tie and send the Lasers to their first GNAC championship. Lasell heads into the NCAA tournament with a 15-3 record on the year while Simmons wraps up the 2013 campaign with a 10-4 record.

Rivier Men's Volleyball Advances to NCAA Final Four
Rochester, N.Y. - The #15 Rivier University Men's Volleyball team jumped out to a fast start and advanced to the NCAA Men's Volleyball Final Four after a 3-0 win over #8 Juniata College in the NCAA Quarterfinal matchup on Friday night. Rivier (27-11) took three straight sets 28-26, 25-20 and 25-23 to win their first ever NCAA Tournament game. President Obama Visits Former Suffolk Women's Tennis Player in Hospital
BOSTON, Mass. - President Barack Obama made a special visit to Mass General Hospital last week to visit those injured in the bombings that took place on Monday, April 15 during the 117th Boston Marathon. Former Suffolk University Women's Tennis player Kaitlynn Cates suffered serious injuries to her legs during the explosions and is pictured here with President Obama during the visit.

Emerson's Sullivan Collects 100th Career Hit
MALDEN, Mass. – James Sullivan hit the history books Sunday as he collected his 100th career hit as the Emerson Baseball Team fell 8-1 and 9-2 to Albertus Magnus to close out the 2013 regular season. The Lions finish at 2-27 overall and 2-14 in conference play as the Falcons improve to 12-15 on the year and 7-7 in the GNAC.
